Daydreamer: Awakened Edition

Wake up in a nightmare filled with vicious aliens, grotesque mutants, emotionless robots and giant bugs in Daydreamer: Awakened Edition, coming soon to PlayStation®4. The side-scrolling platform/shoot'em-up game was originally released on PC, but the new Awakened Edition includes major gameplay updates and numerous improvements for those brave enough to tread the dangerous path of Daydreamer. Daydreamer: Awakened Edition is the story of the last human to awaken from an eternal sleep on an alien Earth. Aliens took over the planet thousands of years ago and the nameless protagonist was kept as a twisted relic in a stasis chamber to commemorate their victory. However, the mysterious immortal Gatekeeper frees them and sends them on a dangerous expedition to Earth's core. Be warned, though - the aliens will do anything to get their trophy back, and Earth is full of terrifying creatures hungry for human flesh. There are also special "pets" in the game, which are the product of the dreamer's imagination and give the player a tactical advantage in all the chaos. The game is boss-heavy and plays like a classic arcade shoot 'em up with checkpoints off the road.
