Dark Colony
Dark Colony is a real-time strategy that focuses on the actual combat. Gathering resources, building bases and producing units have been made as simple and fast as possible, so that the player can concentrate on decimating the enemy armies. Ancient artifacts available in some missions offer unique ways to beat the odds, even if they seem to be against you (and they often will be).
Story
In a bleak, not-too-distant future, mankind has finally made it to Mars. The colonization of the red planet is essential for humanity's survival, because the resources of the heavily polluted Earth are almost exhausted. At the same time, the Taar, a mysterious alien race that lost its homeworld many centuries ago, have decided to make Mars their new home. When war breaks out between the two species, the player must choose his side and lead his people to the final domination of the red planet. Things get even more complicated when the ruins of an extinct ancient civilization are found on Mars, revealing immensely destructive weapons that could easily turn the tide of the war in favor of the faction that manages to get control of them.
