Long ago, in a land far removed from ours in time, space and dimension, lived the most wicked and evil witches the universe had ever seen. They ruled over the now forgotten land of Enchantia. The people of Enchantia prayed for the day when the evil power over them would be defeated and they could finally live in peace. One of the witches had found a spell that would ensure her eternal youth. The most important ingredient, however, was a living male child. Male children lived in another dimension, another time, another world. The witch needed a portal and more magic than she possessed. She had to get all the other witches in Enchantia to lend her their power so she could make each one young again. Now she had enough power to cast the rejuvenation spell. On one particular day, Brad, our hero, was playing baseball with his sister Jenny. Back in Enchantia, the wicked witch peers through the portal onto the field. Hungry and excited, she conjures up a summoning spell. Back on the field, Jenny throws a ball towards Brad, he swings the bat in a wide arc and....bang!!!!

Story

In a parallel universe, the fantasy world of Enchantia suffers under the cruel rule of a powerful coven of evil witches. Their vain and terrible queen, who has managed to surpass all others in depravity, is looking for a living male child from another dimension as the main ingredient of her desired spell of eternal youth. After borrowing magical powers from all the other witches in Enchantia with the promise of making them forever young, she has created an invisible portal connection to Earth. One day in the 1990s, a young English teenager named Brad is playing baseball with his sister Jenny when the witch sees him through the portal and casts an incantation spell that causes him to suddenly disappear in a flash of light. The game begins when Brad wakes up in medieval clothing in a dungeon cell. However, the boy soon manages to escape and sets out on a journey to return home safely. In the course of his surreal adventure, he braves various dangers, meets a variety of friendly and hostile characters, and rises to become a reluctant hero who might break the titular curse and overthrow the reign of evil. After breaking out of his prison, Brad falls into a ditch before coming to a halt in a cave maze. This place will be revisited throughout the game, as Brad returns there after traveling the different corners of the country, meeting bizarre characters and having absurd adventures: The Cliff at the Edge of the World, the Ice Palace and the Valley of the Lost (a place where all sorts of things lost on Earth have disappeared), while searching for a number of unlikely items that will help him emerge victorious from the game's final showdown (including a fire extinguisher and a mechanical fan). In the end, the boy enters the Evil Queen's castle to find her and defeat her once and for all. Once she is gone, he is immediately returned to the baseball field where it all started.
