Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is a side-scrolling action RPG in which you switch between two hunters, Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin, to explore Dracula's castle and defeat the vampire Brauner. The game is set in 1944. Jonathan wields the whip "Vampire Killer," while Charlotte uses magic. You navigate through eight painted worlds hidden within the castle, solving puzzles with each character's unique abilities and gaining new skills and weapons. Your choices determine which of the different endings you get.

Story

Portrait of Ruin is set in the fictional universe of the Castlevania series. The premise of the series is the conflict between the vampire hunters of the Belmont clan and the immortal vampire Dracula. The story takes place in Dracula's castle and is set in Europe in 1944 during the Second World War. In addition to the castle, the main characters explore various paintings created by the villain Brauner. The paintings serve as portals to new areas and differ in appearance from the main castle.
