Story

Plot Captain Commando is set in the crime-ridden future of Metro City in the year 2026, where a superhero named Captain Commando rises up with the help of his three loyal Commando Companions to protect Earth and the entire galaxy from a gang of super-powered criminals. Characters Captain Commando (キャプテンコマンドー Kyaputen Komandō?) - He is the leader of the "Commando Team." In addition to his strong mind and powerful body, he also uses his "Energy Gloves" to shoot powerful bolts of fire and electricity.[1] His killing technique is the "Captain Collider". When he hits the ground with his energy gloves, he causes an electric shock that kills everyone around him. Captain Commando's quick attacks are "Captain Cannon" (also known as "Captain Fire"), which torches the opponent with a burst of flame, and "Captain Kick", which can hit multiple opponents at once on the ground or in the air.[1] Captain Commando can also grab his opponent and kick them in the stomach or throw them with his whole body. Other things he uses are the "Captain Goggles", which help him recognize a criminal's face at a distance of 2 km by comparing it to a database, the "Captain Protector", which is made of a super-tough material called "Captanium" and can withstand the heat of a trillion degrees, the "Captain Gauntlet," which multiplies the Captain's strength by 48 times and makes it easy for him to shatter a thick iron plate, and the "Captain Boots," which allow him to survive a 100-meter fall without sustaining injury or damage to his boots.[1] Mack the Knife (ジェネティー Jenetī?, Jennety in the Japanese version) - The Mummy Commando is a mummy-like alien from outer space.[1] As weapons, he uses subsonic knives that melt any enemy he hits. His killing technique is the "Spinning Attack"[1] in which he spins like a top and his bandages whip his opponents like whips. Mack's dash attacks are "Double Trouble", where he stabs his opponent with both knives, and "Sky Assault", an aerial version of Double Trouble. Mack can also grab his opponent and either stab or throw him. Other items he possesses include the "Captain Cap," a memento of his first meeting with Captain Commando; the "Genetic Bandage," his life-support equipment for surviving on Earth; the "Genetic Knife," which melts all matter; and the "Gravity Controllers," his pair of shoes that adjusts the force of attraction as best suited for combat.[1] Mack's name comes from the song of the same name by Bertolt Brecht. Ginzu the Ninja (翔 Shō?, Sho in the Japanese version) - The Ninja Command is a highly trained ninja and successor to Bushin-ryu Ninpo, a fighting style of ninjutsu that Guy also inherited from Final Fight. His razor-sharp sword can slice an opponent in half.[2] His killing technique is the "Smoke Bomb." After creating a cloud of smoke around his body, the smoke explodes and kills nearby enemies.[2] Ginzu's quick attacks are "Iaizuki", which pierces several enemies at once, and "Flying Katana", which slices through enemies while jumping from above. Ginzu can grab his opponents and either kick them in the stomach or perform a shoulder or overhead throw. Other equipment includes his "Ninja Eyes" which he can use to find enemies 500 meters away in the dark, his "Servant Sword" which serves no one but him, is called "Flash Light" and cuts things at an atomic level, and his "Ninja Suit" which is harder than iron and softer than silk.[2] He is the only character who can throw shuriken at his opponents. Baby Head (フーバー Fūbā?, Hoover in the Japanese version) - The Baby Commando is a super-genius toddler who fights with a robot of his own design. His robot is both strong and fast. His killer technique is the "knee missile", which fires a missile from the robot's knee[2], which is constantly manufactured in the robot. Baby Head's punching attacks are the "Rolling Punch", a powerful punch that spins like a drill, and the "Elbow Smash", which crushes the opponent with an elbow strike from a jump[2] Baby Head can grab his opponents and perform either a knee strike, a "pile-driver" or a "fling-away". Other features he uses include the "Talking Machine" which resembles a baby pacifier and allows him to speak the 3 million languages of the cosmos, the "Stable Cradle" which prevents the robot from rocking no matter how far it is tilted, the "Silverfist Vehicle" which has 12,000 horsepower, 582 kilograms (1280.4 pounds) body weight and is equipped with a fuzzy logic controller; the "Missile Launcher", a missile production system built into both the leg and the Silverfist Vehicle, called the "Baby Carriage" by Baby Head's friends; and the "Jet Hover", which is used for quick position changes.[2] Gameplay[edit]
