Burnout Paradise

"Burnout Paradise" is an arcade racing game set in an open world called Paradise City—a departure from the fixed tracks of earlier "Burnout" games. Players can move freely around the city and initiate events by stopping at intersections and choosing their own routes to the respective finish line, rather than following predetermined routes. The series’ focus on high speeds and spectacular crashes returns through features like Showtime Mode, which allows players to trigger a crash sequence anytime, anywhere. Completing events increases the player’s driver rank and unlocks new cars, and an online system supports additional co-op and competitive modes. It was the first Burnout game released for Windows and later received a remastered version that included all downloadable content.
