Bullet Witch

Bullet Witch

Bullet Witch is a shooter video game for the Xbox 360, developed by Cavia. It was released in Japan on July 27, 2006 by AQ Interactive, followed by a North American release on February 27, 2007, with Atari Europe handling translation and other localization work. The game was not released with a multiplayer component, although players could participate in a ranked competition via Xbox Live. Downloadable content included new costumes and new missions. A later Japanese re-release under the label "Xbox 360 Platinum Collection" included all downloadable content on the game disc. The player takes control of a witch named Alicia Claus in the near future of 2013, where humanity is on the brink of destruction after being struck by major natural disasters and an invasion of demons. The protagonist, Alicia, uses a weapon staff that can be transformed into a shotgun, a machine gun and a Gatling gun. With this weapon she can also cast spells.

Story

First came the earthquake, then the war, then the plague, then the riots. Within a few years, humanity experienced every conceivable catastrophe - and all of it was just a prelude to the ones we couldn't imagine. An army of literal demons came straight from hell and trampled the survivors wherever they found them. When they killed, they wore the skins of their victims. When they conquered, they grabbed the weapons of their enemies. Driven by supernatural evil and loaded with military equipment, they dispersed us and cut us down. But then she came. At first we thought she was one of them - a woman in black, with a long weapon like a witch's broom and the magical powers to match. Survivors whispered their stories in the alleys: Stories of battles so fierce they wiped out entire city blocks, in which she mowed down entire demon regiments with flaming bullets and then shared her own blood to save the wounded. It is said that she can summon raven clouds, bring thorns out of the ground, and even conjure up lightning and tornadoes when she wants to. Maybe she flew down from heaven. Maybe hell spat her out again. Either way, she is all we have.
