Battles of Prince of Persia

Battles of Prince of Persia

Battles of Prince of Persia is the first game in the Prince of Persia franchise to find its way to the Nintendo DS. The storyline is set in the time between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. Unlike the other parts, this game is about tactical combat, since you'll have to control armies with the prince and a number of generals via playable collectible cards. There are nine different playable characters, 27 different units you can control and three different factions. For competition, there is a multiplayer mode, in which one copy of the cartridge can be used by multiple players.

Story

The game's story takes place between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. The game is set in Persia, India and the fictional Aresura. Each of these places sends three generals to fight their wars. The prince learns that he is being hunted by the Dahaka, an incarnation of fate, for interfering with time and cheating his own death in the process. However, the prince accidentally triggers a conflict between Persia and India. In the course of the game, the prince fights against the Deavas, a mythical demon race that is in a box that he opens, and against Kalim, the prince of India and brother of his long-lost love Farah. Through the wars, the prince grows darker and matures. The game reveals what happens between the two games of the Sands of Time trilogy.
