Anna's Quest

Dragons, witches, trolls... No one can stop Anna. With her telekinesis, unorthodox use of torture instruments, improvisation skills and the help of a shady fox, she just makes her way. She communicates with the dead, turns off the local tavern's beer supply, and puts old ladies behind bars.... The world of author Dane Krams' debut on the game development stage is not as cozy as it might seem. Anna, on the other hand, is actually quite nice - or is she? It all starts with the release of the talking teddy bear.... Anna's Quest is a hand-drawn, dark story with a good pinch of self-irony.

Story

In a land far, far away lives a brave young girl named Anna. She lives a peaceful life in the forest with her grandfather until a mysterious illness strikes him. And so Anna sets out to find a cure for him, but this world is much more dangerous and bizarre than she thought: Her journey comes to an abrupt end when the witch Winfriede kidnaps Anna to use her in an experiment. Winfriede's experiment is a success - Anna develops telekinetic powers, but this is also where the witch's plans are foiled: With the help of Ben, a boy turned into a teddy bear, and new powers she can barely control, Anna manages to escape from her cell. Together with Ben and her new impressive ability, Anna sets out on an adventure in the spooky world of Grimm's fairy tales and European folklore. Witches, ghosts, trolls and cursed princesses: Whether you have to save them or trick them, they all play their part in Anna's quest to find a cure for her grandfather. And since there is no rest for the wicked, Winfriede is breathing down Anna's neck and wants to get her successful experiment back at any cost.
