Alone in the Dark 3

Alone in the Dark 3 is a direct sequel to Alone in the Dark 2 and the final game in the original canon of the series. It has exactly the same gameplay as the first two games, but with no reloading, better shooting/fighting responsiveness and more puzzles than the previous game. The main theme is the Wild West, pitting Carnby against a town full of zombie cowboy outlaws who attack him with revolvers and sub lever-action rifles.

Story

The year is 1925 and after Edward Carnby's successes in his last two investigations, a journalist has nicknamed him "Supernatural Private Eye". This time he is called to investigate the disappearance of a film crew in a small ghost town called Slaughter Gulch in California's Mojave Desert. Among the missing crew is Emily Hartwood, Jeremy Hartwood's niece from the original. Edward soon finds out that there is a curse on the town and that an evil cowboy from the Badlands named Jed Stone is responsible for the crew's disappearance. Lurking in the town are many trigger-happy snipers, deranged prospectors and bloodthirsty lost souls that Edward must fight off with his strength and wits.
