9-nine-: Episode 2
9-nine: Episode 2 is the second volume of a series of supernatural mystery games. Episode 2 tells a story centered around Sora Niimi. The volumes of the 9-nine series have the same setting and world, but each volume focuses on a different heroine. 9-nine- is a story about the city of Shiromitsugawa, where mysterious artifacts and the superpowers they give their users can be found. It's the story of a pair of siblings who are closely connected, and a whodunit in which they hunt for the culprit behind a series of supernatural murders. Each game has a standalone story that can be enjoyed on its own.
Story
The many worlds interpretation states that every random movement creates a new kind of branching universe. A butterfly flapping its wings rarely means a whirlwind across the world, and human choices are no exception - our small everyday decisions rarely lead to earth-shattering changes. But for Kakeru Niimi, one of those small decisions is about to make a big difference. One night, Kakeru's cheeky little sister Sora asks him to let her spend the night with him. And in that seemingly insignificant moment when he gives in and says yes, a new story is born, a whirlwind that will turn both their lives upside down. The squad of evil users, Rig Vega. The noble crew that opposes them, the Valhalla Society. In 9-nine: Episode 2, these two forces will collide, creating new sparks and shattering preconceived notions. Can Kakeru and Sora put an end to this undisguised threat before it destroys them both?
